Audi MIB2 Smartphone interface

Key features and functionality:

• Connectivity:
  The interface connects smartphones (both Apple and Android) to the car's system via USB or wirelessly. 
• Apple CarPlay & Android Auto:
  This allows users to access familiar smartphone apps on the car's display, including navigation (Apple Maps, Google Maps), music streaming (Spotify), and messaging (SMS/MMS). 
• Specific Audi Models with MIB2:

  • A3, A4, A5, Q2: These models typically feature MIB2 from the 2017 model year onwards. 
  • A6, A7: Generally equipped with MIB2 from the 30th of May, 2016, production date. 
  • Q5: MY2017 and later models with MIB2 are common. 
  • Q7: MIB2 is found in the 4M generation, with some earlier models needing extra parts and firmware updates for compatibility. 
  • A8: MIB2 is also found in the A8 model line. 
  • R8: MY2017+ models of the R8 also utilize MIB2. 
  How it works:
  1. Connect your smartphone: Connect your iPhone or Android device to the car via USB or, in some cases, wirelessly. 
  2. Select the interface: Choose the smartphone interface option on the MMI screen. 
  3. Access your content: Use the MMI or voice control to navigate and use your smartphone's apps and features.
